Life In Kurdistan Villages
An evening gathering

This postcard shows what a natural Kurdish life is like in an evening gathering in one of their village's section.
The man walking in the middle geared with his rifle is a Kurdish fighter " Pesh Marga " which means;
one who sacrifices for his nation and always moves forward to defend his country and people's rights
even if he faces death.

Milking Time : A Hard Working Kurdish Woman

This Kurdish woman is milking her goats before returning them to her village. Kurdish women work side by side with men. They are hard working, real free, and open in their society. When they go to farms or take care of their life stocks, they wear Kurdish men's baggy pants to give them more comfort and flexibility. It is another way to show their hard work and equality with men.

Kurds in general are very hospitable people, particularly if you happen to be in a village. Without knowing a passerby or unexpected guest, they offer meals to guests with warm welcome. Even if an unknown guests needed to rest or stay in the village for a night, they are offered a designated place for their stay.

Ready For Tea Break

This Kurdish woman with her two young daughters is awaiting her husband to have
a tea break after a hard work in his wheat field. Sometimes, when women are not necessary
to do some work, they still join their husbands and help ease their hard work by preparing meals
and other less demanding chores.
