Kurds will never die

In the sad commemoration of the Chemical bomb attack on Halabja by Saddam's barbaric regime on March 16, 1988, a Kurdish sculpture has created a bronze statue of the moment in which a father and his toddler killed with more than 5000 Kurds. The new statue was unveiled in a ceremony with a big crowd of Halabja residents, Kurdish regional officials, and guests from many parts of Kurdistan in Halabja on March 16, 2002.

This little Kurdish boy, in the picture, dressed in traditional Kurdish clothes was born ten years after the attack in Halabja. He proudly with assuring smile full of hope, as a new generation, had posed for his beloved father for a memorial picture. This historical photo proves that "Kurds will never die".
