Villages are the roots of any culture or nation. Villages and life in villages represent the core values of a nation and richness in language and tradition.
Wherever there are more villages there are more roots, histories, norms, and purity of languages and culture.
To destroy all these values in Kurdistan, Iraqi regime, Saddam's government started destroying Kurdish villages from 1975 to 1990.
An estimated more than 4500 vaillages and small towns were razed to the ground. Only about 900 villages were left standing.
